Our Classes
Chun Kuo Kung Fu
Chun Kuo is a southern Five Animals style of Kung Fu that is believed to originate at Emei Temple in China. Students learn a comprehensive curriculum that includes escapes from grabs as well as blocks, punches, kicks, joint locks, takedowns, weapons, and physical conditioning. We strongly emphasize self defense application, as well as development of a student’s inner strength and resiliency.
Included in monthly membership is a 30 minute private lesson one on one with an instructor, and unlimited access to group classes. Students will learn new information during their private lesson and then have the opportunity to practice and apply these skills in the group classes.
Taichi
While Yang style Taichi does include martial arts applications of all its movements, this gentle, internal martial art form focuses more on cultivation of health and peace of mind. Practice includes solo forms, push hands with a partner, and breathing.
Qigong
There are many different forms of Qigong with wide ranging applications. SAMMA offers instruction in Qigong for health and wellness as well as martial arts enhancement.
