Tai Chi Long Form - Brush Knee and Twist STep

25 Nov 2024 Brush Knee and Twist Step

This move is performed the same way that the previous Bush Knee’s are performed.

From Boonchai

“Left is from here, it follows the moving of the waist. If you turn forward it goes forward. The long form later you will notice that the arms are not quite moving. It is all from the moving of the trunk. Look at my elbow. it is a big move. Arm is not moving, the arm stays. That’s the long form. The short form doesn’t quite use the trunk, in the long form we use the trunk a lot. Hands are not quite moving - the moving part is the trunk. Make sure that you are not pulling too much down. Push. Stay there. Rotate the right hand in a circle then pull the left back. Straight wrist. Again. Step up. Rotate a circle. Lean back. Hold the left out. Up to the shoulder. Don’t use force. Rotate. Then push in. Use your body weight to bring the hand back. Practice.”
